I try to provide each customer with the very best I have to give. This starts with the finest materials. Great materials make a great piece of furniture.Figured wood has a voice all it's own.Select hardwoods take center stage for every job.Other companies may try to save money on parts that are not always seen, such as bedrails, or on large dimensional stock, used for legs or feet. This all takes place before a single joint is made.I employ as many traditional joints as possible per piece to insure structural stability for generations to come.To me it becomes somewhat of a challenge to see how many I can incorporate into a job.It may be a little extra work, but in my mind I can't see how it can hurt.I still drive each individual nail. No air nailers here.
I have been making cabinetry for a little over a decade now. It is an amazing experience when one finds that one thing in life that they are certain they were meant to do.Once I found my true passion, everything else in my life seemed to fall into place. Some were good and some not so good but,all lead me to this point.
I enjoy and appreciate all forms of furniture. The classic styles from the 17th to the early 19th century are what appeal to my personal taste the most. Over the years I have collected a rather sizable library of resources.Researching a particular cabinet maker, or region, or style of furniture is almost as enjoyable as building it.
